Lennox's control boards sit somewhere between Carrier and Trane in terms of sensitivity. The most common issue we see is a clogged condensate drain triggering a safety shutdown that reads like a control board failure but isn't — clearing the drain line and resetting the board resolves most of these calls. Lennox's high-efficiency furnaces are reliable once properly installed, but they require more attention to condensate drainage than single-stage or two-stage systems.

All three brands offer furnaces with AFUE ratings above 95%, which means they convert at least 95% of the gas they burn into usable heat.
