1. Whether the unit is a compressor issue or a sensor issue
A failed compressor is the most expensive single repair on a Sub-Zero refrigerator, because the part itself is costly and the labor to access it — especially on built-in units — takes longer. A failed thermistor or control board, by contrast, is usually a faster and cheaper fix. This is why an accurate diagnosis matters more than a phone estimate.
2. Built-in vs. freestanding access
